National cardiovascular disease (CVD) prevention programme

Improving the detection and management of the high-risk conditions – Atrial Fibrillation (AF), high blood pressure and high cholesterol as well as early diagnosis of Familial Hypercholesterolaemia (FH).

Lipid management and Familial Hypercholesterolaemia (FH)

The AHSNs are delivering a national programme of work around cardiovascular disease (CVD) prevention.

The aim of this programme will be to support primary care in the prevention and management of CVD, introducing targeted interventions for people with high cholesterol, including identifying and treating people with familial hypercholesterolaemia, with further regional activity focusing on atrial fibrillation (AF) and high blood pressure.

This is a national AHSN Network adoption and spread initiative.
