Health Informatics Summer Student Internship

Do you have coding skills in Python or R, and an interest in health innovation?

We are excited to be able to offer a paid summer internship with our health informatics team at Eastern AHSN (Academic Health Science Network).

Specific skills and interests we are looking for are  listed below (a working knowledge of one or two areas and a keenness to learn is sufficient):

• Simple data transformations
• Data frame creation/manipulation
• Mapping and dashboard visualisations
• HTML rendered outputs; and, most importantly…
• An interest in data and health innovation.

We have a specific project lined up that will involve working alongside team members to gather requirements, obtain, load and curate data, and then create and refine visualisations. We can offer support with the technical skills, and while you are with us, give you some time with key people across the organisation so you can get a feel for what we do at Eastern AHSN to help turn great ideas into positive health impact.

Wage: £9.90 per hour

Hours:  Days and hours can be flexible

This role can be undertaken remotely or from our offices in Cambridge (or a combination of the two.) We do ask that you are able to attend the office in person a minimum of two or three times throughout the placement to meet with colleagues.
